Our mission is to build a strong graduate student community at Harvard!

WHAT WE DO

HGC organizes wide range of activities and events to foster a sense of community and enhance the quality of life of the graduate student. Some of these include: Kick Off BBQ, Annual Valentine’s Day Gala, and 5K Charity Fun Run.  In addition to social activities, we also organize volunteerism and public service projects.
 

We also advocate to administration and organizations on issues impacting the graduate community. Examples include Open Forums, inviting Deans of Student Life and Provost to discuss the findings of the White Paper, a collection of the concerns of the graduate community. Some issues we are interested in are health, housing, safety, transportation, academics, environment, & diversity.

WHO CAN JOIN
You! The graduate community at Harvard is a diverse and unique group. We welcome all graduate students at the eleven graduate and professional schools including Masters, Doctoral, Post-docs, PhD, Fellows, Mid-Careers, and students in Executive Programs. Any graduate student at Harvard University can join the HGC as a Member by simply attending the meetings and/or contacting HGC directly at hgc@harvard.edu . Each school elects four official representatives to sit on HGC. To become a Representative, please contact your school organization.
