Our Office

Following years on the move, in 2018 the Harvard Graduate Council settled into a new, permanent office in the Smith Campus Center at 1350 Massachusetts Avenue. The opening of this renovated building culminated several years of planning, construction, and lobbying on the part of graduate students, who pushed the university to create more collaborative spaces on campus.

Located at the heart of the Harvard community, HGC's permanent office is accessible to current elected members of the council, who hail from all twelve of Harvard's graduate schools. The office is primarily used for planning university-wide events, holding meetings with various stakeholders, as well as maintaining council repositories necessary for organizational continuity.

The use of HGC's office spaces is governed by a memorandum of understanding between the Harvard Commons Spaces and the Harvard Graduate Council. Please note that the office is not open to the public.
